There are times in this game that it seems you can’t accomplish anything, and then there are times when you are able to accomplish alot. Luckily this weekend went pretty smooth and had alot happen.
Somewhere during the weekend.. (all blurry now.. lol) I was able to work on my Drg a bit and got to level 6. My wyvern’s name is Ember. She’s so cute.. I should bring her out more often.
I also at some point arranged the furniture in my Mog House and now its actually pleasant to be in there. Here is a quick picture of one side, with my workbench that Kinkykitty made me, and my harvest festival lamps.
Saturday morning, I logged in and decided to try Bard for awhile. I was at level 13 and have a scroll sitting in my MH for level 16. In the interest of inventory space, thought it may be a good idea to get to where I can use it and reclaim that space for something else. I’ve been a little interested in the prospect of playing Bard, always seemed like it would be fun. It did end up being fun ^^ I had a very new party in the dunes, with a couple of people having only played the game for a week or less, but it went rather well. As frustrating as the Dunes are, it was nice to be with a group that wasn’t souped up on drama, and was really there just trying to figure out how to play thier own jobs. I reached level 14, our party disbanded and I logged out. I’ll try it again later to get to level 16. It was fun, so now I’m thinking it may be the next job I level.
Saturday night I logged back in ready for our static. We ended up waiting awhile for a tank, and Fuddyduddy ended up joining us 
yay! While we waited for him to finish his assult mission, Kauri got brave and pulled a colbri.. We had Kauri on rdm/nin, Squeekers was on mnk/war, Kinkyitty on blm/whm, and Katella as whm/smn. It definately woke us up.. lol but despite the initial shock.. hehe.. we ended up doing just fine. Kauri & Squeeker’s kinda shared the hate, and we ended up getting almost 80 exp out of it, so we decided to continue while we waited for Fuddy… lol.
We added a japanese Dark Knight, who I’m pretty sure thought we were absolutely crazy to be fighting without a tank.. but I think once he saw we weren’t doing that bad, I think he was ok, although I can’t help but wonder what some of those Japanese symbols he was typing to us meant.. lol. Fuddyduddy showed up, and we ended up getting 12k for the night. I reached 59 (/cheer). Kauri ended up being about 900 tnl 59, but eveyone was falling asleep, so we called it a night and figured we’d try to get her to a besiege and maybe go get some small exp in Xcabard or something the next day.
Logged in on Sunday, and what luck, not only was there a pending besiged, but two of them, and both were level 6. We ended up being in an alliance with Rainer & Mieka. It was fun.. I love the items they give you for these now.. and especially nice that everyone gets at least one reraise scroll. Lag was horrible.. lol.. as there were at least 700 ppl in the area, but we managed, and after the second besiged was over, Kauri was now level 59 as well!! /clap
Later that evening, we logged back in and went to static our 30’s Kinkykitty & Kauri both Ninja’s, me on blm, Laiden as whm, and we picked up a Cor & a Pld, as not many people were looking for party. It ended up going well. Poor Laiden really doesn’t like playing whm. We assured him it wasn’t for everyone, and let him know we were ok if he wanted to just go ahead and finish out the last four levels, as we don’t consecutively meet for this static, and his wife’s blm was now near his level, so he could be partying with her. He ended up having to go, so we invited Sweethne, who had been standing around looking for party for a bit. I reached level 35 and we played a bit more until people got tired, then disbanded.
It was one of the more frustrating times in the game. Everyone ended up hp’ing – which I know happens from time to time.. but still – as a whm totally makes me feel like a failure.
