Thursday night the Nightmares LS did San d’Orian 5-1 & 5-2 missions. I went along to help out, and Kauri came also as she needed the missions as well. The first trip into 5-1 didn’t go very well, however we tried it again and defeated the Skeleton NM. It was kind of funny because I was healing people (as whm) and we had it almost done, so I was going to use Benediction to try and save people, I kept clicking on it.. but it wouldn’t go… the reason that it wouldn’t go — was because they had defeated it, and it hadn’t registered on my computer yet.. dang lag.. lol. We did however beat the current record, so it was cool.
After 5-1 people that needed it picked up the mission for 5-2 and we headed out to Castle Zvahl. We went in twice to get the people that needed it all covered. They were amazingly fast at doing this mission, and spent more time running back up to the Throne Room to do it again, than fighting the ShadowLord. We met a friend named Moki who entertained Kauri & I and a few others while we waited for the others to return (we went in on the second round). He taught us the game Rock, Paper, Scimitar, and told us of the Warp II Chicken game where you get two blackmages and you cast Warp II on each other, and whoever is NOT able to stop thier cast in time loses.. lol however I maintained that maybe if you won that game, you kind of lost too – unless you wanted to go back to your homepoint. lol
Saturday, Spent most of the day power-leveling Wicket as we had put together a level 10 static party for him and Jediyoda and my other character Laurelai that night.. it was a rough start, died twice and ended up doing roaming exp in Konschtat Highlands. Ended with Wickit having a Tremor Ram pop on top of him, an there was no saving him.
Sunday Kauri, Kinkykitty, Katella & later Squeekers all ran around Xarcabard and Castle Zvahl gathering gil from demons and various other beastmen we found. Eventually we stumbled our way up to the top where Kauri & I had been on Thursday for the ShadowLord fight. So since we were there, and had a little time, we reminenced by using the Goblin Footprints there to veiw our past cutscenes. When I’m in doing the actual mission, I tend to hurry through cutscenes because I’m afraid to be left behind.. hehe.. so its nice to go back and get to watch them and take some time to enjoy them.
Once Fuddyduddy came on, we invited a ninja and started our static on our level 60’s. The ninja and I were the only ones that leveled this time, so next time the rest of them should level pretty quickly. I’m now 63 whm ^^ so I got to learn the Protectra IV spell that I’ve had in my Mog House for awhile. I had bought it for like 10k at one point which is way cheaper than the usual cost. I’ll have to farm alot more if I want to buy the Protect IV spell that I could also learn, but I figure I have the important one for whm and for our static.
After we disbanded for the night, Squeekers agreed to show me the way to get back to Lufaise Meadows and Tavnazia Safehold, as I still hadn’t made it back there.
After we made it there, he helped me do the map quest for the area and showed me around a bit. After he logged, I think I must have talked to nearly all of the NPC’s in that area, and picked up a few quests, so now I have to be careful when I am outside not to accidently click the wrong thing and spawn some NM’s. The story-lines there seem to be sad, making me want to tell them all to pack up and follow me back to Selbina or Qufim.. After awhile I ventured outside and threw sneak and invis on just to be safe, though even when I let it fall, I didn’t appear to be in any danger as level 63. Not sure what levels the monsters are there, I should look it up. Beautiful area though..
Not sure why, but this area intrigues me, and I think I would love to continue the CoP mission story-line. I’m anxious to meet Prishe even though the consenses of the NPC’s in that area is that once she returns, I’ll be asked to leave or beheaded or something like that.. lol
I ended up stumbling across the Vortex that takes you back to Quifim, and quickly marked it on both maps so that I could return there later.
