I have this notion, of approaching my play-style habits in FFXIV as if it were a college. I really want to avoid the “grinding one class” mentality, as I don’t want go down that road again. I want to fully enjoy the skill sharing freedom employed in Final Fantasy XIV.
So for me, I will consider it as a college with different courses (or classes if you will) that I can take, in order to pick and choose the skills I want to use in a profession of my own making.
I think I will major in Disciples of Magic. I will take both Conjury and Thaumaturge classes, with a tad more focus on Conjury, though these are co-requisite for the skill-set I’m trying to achieve.
I will minor in Disciples of the Hand, taking in the classes of Alchemy, Weaver, and Carpentry to start with, and to achieve that, I have some Required classes in the Disciples of the Land, which will be botany & mining.
For my Disciples of War elective, my main focus will be on gaining skills from Gladiator, Pugilist & Lancer classes.
