I’ve added a page to my site here called “The Path Unmarked” in which I will keep a complete copy here of the continuing short story that was published on FFXIVblog.com last week. I was thrilled that a couple people had left positive comments. Yay! Time permitting, I hope to add a piece either each week or every other week.
In other news, my weaver is now level 17 and physical level is 26. I’m going to have to stop and spend some time farming more lightning crystals again. You need actual crystals to make cotton thread, which is the next cloth tier I should be working on now.
Last time I went farming I only ended up with about 6 of them, which didn’t last long at all for a crafting session. I tend to like to stockpile ingredients, and then just sit and consistently craft for a nice length of time. I’ve been farming in Limsa because I haven’t figured out the best place to get them in Gridania yet. I seem to be able to get lightning shards, and an occasional crystal from insects and those roselings-type mobs. Its probably time I spent a little time on a fighting class anyhow.. 🙂
Kind of off the subject, but I’ve been having sessions lately where to skill up, I will take moko grass and make hempen yarn, turn it into cloth, then make the individual pieces for hempen cowls, make the hempen cowl and either sell it for ridiculously low in my bazaar, or give it to anyone who speaks up when I offer it for free. For a starting piece, hempen cowls have nice defense surprisingly. I think I’ll continue the practice until I no longer get any skill out of it. Hopefully by then I’ll be successfully crafting cotton cowls. ^^
