So… in an effort to hopefully catch part of the live event in FFXIV revolving around the Seventh Umbral Era, I was up at an ungodly hour to see if anything was stirring. Unfortunately, the other day when I happened upon the Imperial Behest in Gridania, my inventory was full, and I ended up losing out on getting my faded paper. :( Of course I didn’t realize its importance at the time and shrugged it off. Now through a very helpful link on the forums, Its explained that if I had got that, I could have taken it to Urianger when he randomly pops some location around the initial aetherytes for each starting zone, and I could have got an achievement… darn!
Sidenote: If you have access.. here is a good link for information people have been putting together for clearing up how “random” the events really are: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/40951-Live-7th-Umbral-Era-content-for-1.21
Lesson of the day: Always take time to clean out your bags before you go adventuring… lol. You never know what you’ll find.
When I logged in this morning, I didn’t find any Imperial Behests going on sadly, but I did get to hear that one of my new LS mates that I helped level in the first days of our Linkshell’s creation, had gotten a class/job combo to 50 and are 5/5 on their AF! Wow! Good Job!
So Congrats Jenna Blossom!
I mentioned that I better get things going lol, because it looks like people are surpassing me.. hehe. So I’m thinking I should try and find some time to seriously finish up getting the last 3 pieces of my Bard AF.
Another kind member in hearing that, Offered to take me to Zahar’ak and help me get the last one that was just laying around in a box. She helped me get to the third gate where my box was at, and I got my Choral Ringbands! Yay! Thank you Shao Mei /Silvia Lavigne !
After that, I had to go get ready for work, but for a few minutes before I did I checked on the Lodestone hoping for the new Letter from the Producer… my favorite reading material there.. ^^
What to my wondering eyes should appear, but two… count them two new posts.
Exerpt from the producer letter:
“The first, called the Legacy Campaign, is our way of showing gratitude to those valiant adventurers who are standing their ground in the face of the Seventh Umbral Era.
The campaign recognizes those players who subscribe to FFXIV for 90 or more cumulative days during the period between January 6, 2012, and the commencement of version 2.0 beta testing. I believe many of you out there have already fulfilled this requirement. Those who qualify for the campaign and become Legacy members will:
- Be able to play FFXIV from version 2.0 at the discounted Legacy price, forever.
- Receive an exclusive chocobo mount upon the launch of version 2.0.
- Earn a place in the credits for version 2.0.”
. Legacy members will be able to play at a specially discounted subscription price post-launch of version 2.0.

HOLY COW! This is so cool.. discounted rate for life… $9.99 per month for life, and I will then be able to have more than one character! So if I want a character to take up and experience the other cities storylines I’ll be able to do so! Thank you Yoshi-P As stupid as it sounds, this makes me so incredibly happy.. lol.
makes me sound like a sad.. sad little woman I suppose… hehe oh well, because I do enjoy this game, and that is allowed so I’m now a very happy and excited little Lalafell!
With the Welcome Back Campaign, I’m hoping to get the attention of a few of my friends that quit.. maybe we can entice them back and get them involved with our new LS!…. yes, life is good!
