I actually received a message from someone in game yesterday who had seen my blog! I know I usually pen my posts as if I’m telling a tale to an audience, but the truth is I am always pretty surprised when someone mentions they’ve somehow found my blog… lol. I tend to think that I’m the only one that really looks at it.. hehehe.
So Dear Reader that contacted me yesterday, I’m sorry my response wasn’t much more than it was, I was at that point dodging Imperials in Castrum Novum. I sincerely do hope that you are enjoying the game though, and I apologize that I wasn’t able to properly note your name in this post. 🙂 Thank you for saying hi! It actually made my day!
So progress you say? Here is my update for the last two weeks:
* We were able to finish out Blind’s Paladin AF gear and he looks mighty styling… pictures to follow.
* Participated in my first Hamlets. Have now done 3 runs…
-First run reaction – meh.. this is a weird event…. but its different so that makes it interesting.
– Second run reaction – Whoa that was cool! Had an exceptionally smooth run thanks to an awesome Hamlet Guru on the Masamune server, a Lalafell named Sir Dean. He was great and knows how to lead and communicate to a group effectively. Is able to pinpoint issues and help people get better rather than laying blame, so I have tons of respect for this guy and would humbly join a party of his anytime! I actually even got a token this round, but gave it to Pico Man. I’d like to see Pico Man get his relic, he’s been so helpful!
– Third run reaction – /sigh…… this run had me nearly ready to swear off Hamlet altogether honestly. I think it gets very easy to point fingers in these instances when things get difficult, and when the first reaction is to lay blame instead of working with your group, and understanding the underlying issues that cause your group members to have difficulties, it really doesn’t help.
Differences between run 2 and run 3 – The NPC’s were getting hit so much harder the third time. Mobs attacking so many different targets.. people barking that because not I’m not familiar enough with the whole Hamlet and what other classes have to do to make it go as smoothly as it should go, but I know there is something with buffs and debuffs going on.
