For those that asked.. my (dying) video card is a GeForce GTX 650 Ti
Top of everyone’s mind is all the information we got from this past weekends Fan Fest. I truly hope this is an event that they continue. I didn’t get to go this time around, but a handful of Distant World Community members did, and they spoiled us with lots of pictures! Here is just one such picture, this is a few of them trying out an Odin run.
Known to us as (L to R): Zoe, Cutie, (Unknown), Merikosum, Euramon, Jynx, Lucife, (Unknown). Not pictured, but the photographer was also our own Arrietty!
Super jealous of these guys, but hope they had an amazing time! Can’t wait to hear all your stories when next I see you ingame, or talk to you in mumble!
For those that missed the LIVE Letter here is a link that someone posted of it. For a rundown of the main points covered, you can see this write up here. Most important news though is we actually have a date of October 28th as patch day! (Which I totally had guessed it would be! Yay.. I’m right sometimes!)
So ingame while they were all away having fun… I tried to also! Didn’t do anything all that amazing.. but got a few fun screenshots.
Like here is the split second this mob in Tam-Tara HM rushed me during a run.. lol.
Collected enough Allied Seals to turn in for a Sand so that I could finally upgrade my Daystar robe. Since it was dyeable now, thought maybe I could dye it and be slightly more fond of it…. While I do like this color, sadly it didn’t change it enough for me to want to wear it, so it quickly got re-glamored over with my Twin Adder Elite Robe. Here it is in Wine Red though.. Not horrible, but you can see from her expression.. she still wasn’t impressed..
Planted Onion Prince, and an Eggplant Knight for prizes for the up and coming server wide event
♪♫ Carnival de Costa! ♪♫ – now we have all 5 of the new Mandragora minions.. One of each to give away during the event! Also another winner will get a drawn chibi of their character by none other than Niqote (also from Masamune) Originator of one of the most fun threads available on the Official Forums!
Did a bit of questing this week and finished up the Beastmen quests! Really liked how that ended up playing out!
Did more of the Postmaster quests.. They are always so cute. I have one more to go, which funny enough I have to deliver letters to the people who we fight in Halatali HM. 🙂 Hope they don’t hold a grudge.. I’ll find out later this week.
Also ran a bit more Ramuh EX this week. Really wanting to get the Healing Ring from there so that I can reach ilvl 110. I’m currently at 108, and its the last thing I would be able to upgrade until my luck improves with SCoB drops. (Very pleased to hear they are going to be allowing people to help friends in Coil soon.. this will be so nice for the community. They won’t get extra drops, but helping people get the opportunity to play with friends and get up to speed with the fights will be awesome.)
Here is my new Ramuh Barding for my chocobo Phoenix! Had seen it on other choco’s and didn’t really like it all that much, but had gotten two Levin orbs, so figured I might as well have it made. Asked Pico if he would make it for me, and I sent him all the mats and he did. 🙂 I think I like it on my chocobo since its white, and the “beard” matches so really just kinda looks like a more natural extension… doesn’t look all that horrible anyway.. something interesting to check out. 🙂
Jukari, Mini and I showing different barding combos.. ^^
So I have to confess something… A few of our members had expressed some real frustration over the Ramuh EX fight.. and I really didn’t understand. All last week when I had tried it, the teams I had gone with had won far more often then lost. Had done a handful of Party Finder groups with three healers and one tank even, and really had no trouble. Then I felt confident so had done Duty Finder runs the last couple of weeks and again.. seemed not bad at all. Listening to others though.. many were not having the same impression I was.
I think my luck may have run out though, because this past weekend I think I only managed two wins and the other times did not go so well. At one point, I was the last one standing and had to Limit Break! I generally forget about Limit breaking because I never play anything that usually gets to do it. This picture turned out cool though.. I died shortly after (of course.. Healers usually die whenever they have to LB) but I thought this was kinda pretty.
Long story short.. I’m now a bit more empathetic for those who have been struggling with this fight. I now understand that the seemingly easy time I had been having with it, was more to do with luck of the draw, and that isn’t how it always goes. No fear though.. I think it just means more people are actually trying the fight now, which is a good thing. As people get used to it.. the luck will return for everyone. 🙂 I’m keeping at it.. I still need my ring (and would love a scholar book, or a bow).
This morning I woke up early and did the “All Saint’s Wake” Halloween event. Decorations (as usual) were great!
Funny enough I was actually pretty pleased with the parade “FATE” in Uldah. Nearly every time I got transformed it was in the form of a bat.. after trying over and over and over I finally got the Sultana who is adorable!
I got in line with a bunch of Sultana’s doing the manderville! Took a screenshot…. then went to try and record a video of it.. and my computer froze and kicked me… >< Ah well least I got the screenshot! I’ll have to go back and see if I can get turned into a few more of the other known NPC’s.
The last two screenshots here are just people I came upon who had really great glamor. Enjoy!
