We had tentatively planned a Mea run on Saturday, and then it appeared that wasn’t going to happen, but as luck would have it, other plans fell through, and we were then on track to try it again
Our set-up was; Kauri nin/war, Eliktro war/nin, Edog war/nin, Terijima blu/nin, Uttahutta smn/whm, Katella whm/blm. This was Kauri & Teri’s first time doing a promy. We went in the first and did a dry run, using no anima’s or potions etc.. just to check out the Delver’s behaivor. We didn’t last long.. but it gave us a quick idea, and thanks to SE’s recent update, we didn’t loose exp, so it was less frustrating for people.
We had a really good group. Uttahutta had done it successfully before, so we kind of made him leader. We prepared our strategy and went in again and this time we Won!! It had been really close, and when all four of tank/DD were knocked out, then it was Uttahutta and Katella left. Uttah’s summon luckily defeated the Delver. At the end Uttah had around 7 hp’s and I had about 10 left to our names.. lol. When it was all over Kauri, Uttahutta, and Terijima were all sent back to Tahrongi Canyon, and Eliktro, Edog and I were sent to Lufaise Meadows. I raised Eliktro and Edog, then back-tracked till I found the swirling vortex to Valkrum Dunes. I wanted to go explore, but couldn’t right then, so hopefully I will get to go there again soon.
Also: Congrats to Kauri who was finally able to acquire an Utsusemi:Ni scroll and learn it for her Ninja!
Later that day, Kauri & I went out with her drg, and my pld, and got us each a level with the help of our NPC’s.
Sunday, I logged on and joined a couple of my fellow taru friends. Wickit is actually my real-life honey’s new taru character (his other is the Galka Blindrage).
We were level 1’s running around. As a level 1, Jediyoda at one point forgot that he was level 1 and pulled an orc in W. Ron.. lol Much to our surprise, we defeated it.. lol. It wasn’t until about level 6 that these pictures where taken …. this death was actually due to poison from a lizard in ghesba outpost, and lack of poisona.. lol
We did however reach level 8 before it was time for our static.
Static this week was our 17’s in B. Penninsula, We changed things up a bit at first trying to get our party stabilized. Fuddyduddy went back to nin/thf, and Kinky switched from sam to smn to main heal until we could got to 20 so that Squeekers could change from bard to rdm, where he then took over main healing and Kinkykitty then went back to her samurai. We played with 5 people the whole time, although I did bring Gunnar out, and Kauri brought Karyn out for a little bit (our NPC’s).
So now I’m level 20 pup and am in the process of getting my next frame (thank you Fuddyduddy for your assistance with that ^^). It should be done for me tonight. I chose the Sharpshot, because as I read up on this, people are recommending you get it as soon as you can, ideally first, because it is the only frame (as I understand) with a unique skill (range), that you can’t level up on any other frame. So now that I am 20, Serenade’s range will already be 20 levels behind ><, but since it appears you can level your puppets skills even if it is your subjob, I’m going to go farming in Yughotto Grotto as whm/pup, and hopefully make some gil in the process.
While we were partying down at the beach, there were a bunch of RMT fishermen down there fishing. We partied near them and we noticed that up a ways by a tree a bogy would spawn there, and not do much of anything. After awhile, we were all having difficulties targeting the mob when Fuddy would bring it back to us because of all the fishermen around, so we opted to move up to where that tree was. I started to wonder if the bogy would spawn there, but when it turned night time, funny enough.. the bogy spawned where we had been previously partying, and hovered over each RMT for a bit, then killed them off, totally going around the one fisherman out there that seemed to be legitimate. We suspect that it was actually a GM disguised as a bogy because it didn’t act normal, and it seemed to avoid us.
On a last note – I love the additions to signet!! I love that I actually got to participate in creating weapon skills. I never get to do that because I always need to sit and heal, and lose my tp, so it is a very welcome change. ^^
